Important Warning About Fake Videos From CZ of Binance

Changpeng Zhao, also known as "CZ," who co-founded Binance, has warned the crypto community about fake videos. These videos, called deep fakes, show him promoting cryptocurrencies he’s never heard of, and CZ made it clear these are scams.

CZ shared a warning on X (formerly Twitter), telling people to be careful. He said the deep fake videos are not on X but are circulating on other social media platforms.

There are deep fake videos of me on other social media platforms. Please beware!” CZ tweeted.

When someone joked asking if the deepfakes show him drinking beers, CZ responded that they actually show him promoting a crypto coin he doesn’t know.

With advancements in AI technology, these kinds of phony videos are becoming increasingly widespread. The creator of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, issued a similar warning regarding deepfakes earlier this year. He said that soon, it will be very hard to tell which videos are real and which are fake.

A Note from Crypto Accountants!

This warning is very important for both crypto investors and businesses. As fake videos become more convincing, scammers can use them to trick people into losing money.

At Crypto Accountants, we strongly recommend always checking where the information is coming from and never making decisions based just on videos or social media posts.

Be especially careful when dealing with large amounts of money or unfamiliar platforms.

These deep fake scams show why it’s important to stay cautious and informed.
